ABOUT

With roots in Texas and branches in California, New York and London, body movement has been a part of me ever since I can remember.  Beginning with gymnastics and moving on to dance, aerobics and Pilates, each discipline prepared me for my yoga practice which has become an integral part of my life.

I had tried to practice yoga in the past multiple times but for a variety of reasons it had never resonated with me until I was lost, searching for meaning in my life, and ready to receive the lessons it has to offer.

After leaving a lucrative, highly pressured career in the fashion industry in New York I was searching for peace and a meaningful purpose.

I had been practicing Pilates for many years but could no longer afford the weekly expense, so I decided to try yoga one more time -- which is when I discovered Vinyasa flow.  Initially my practice, like so many, was focused on making shapes, learning new more challenging postures and comparing my progress to others.

But over time, the deeper offerings of yoga presented themselves to me, the peace I had searched for was finally in sight, and my physical and emotional well-being began to transform.

My experience was so profound that it became something I felt I had to pursue further to share with others.

CLASS STYLE

With breath coordinated movements and aspects of Positive Psychology, my classes are suitable for beginners as well as seasoned practitioners.  I gently ease students into a dynamic movement experience to grow cardiovascular stamina, strength and flexibility.

My knowledge of anatomy allows me to provide targeted exercises for specific areas of development, being mindful that every body is different.  With intelligent sequences set to music that vary depending on the needs and energy of the group, or individual, I encourage students to find ease within the effort with the goal of bringing them into flow or a meditative state.

Designed with focused compassion, my classes provide students with a safe space to breathe, quiet the mind and explore their bodies, translating to a balance of mind, body and spirit.
